Overlap Analysis Service
Our Service Utilization Overlap Analysis helps medical and social service providers see how their client populations interact with other service provider agencies. We link patient and client data from customer agencies to our existing database, which already contains over twenty six million records of visits to medical, social service, and law enforcement agencies in the Houston region.
This process reveals which clients these agencies have in common and which clients use a disproportionate number of services. The analysis provides an idea of improper uses of services, to inform better diversion programs; overlapping services across agencies, which could be reduced by using shared care plans; and gaps in services, which could be improved by streamlining referrals between needs and resources.
Additionally, the analysis shows us how frequently a specific organization’s client population calls 911, visits a homeless shelter, visits an emergency room, becomes hospitalized, gets arrested, and more.
We can also link an organization’s data to historic city-wide data to show if an organization’s client population’s overall service utilization trends have shifted over time.
